PI tape is a high-performance insulating tape made using a polyimide film as the base material, coated with heat-resistant acrylic or silicone adhesive.

  Exceptional Heat Resistance

  The PI film is composed of pentagonal imide rings, which form a highly stable microstructure with strong bond energy. Its glass transition temperature exceeds 230°C, contributing to outstanding thermal performance. Even when exposed to temperatures above 300°C, the material's primary structure remains largely intact.

  Excellent Electrical Insulation

  With a high dielectric strength, the material exhibits superior insulating properties. This is attributed to the combination of strongly polar imide rings and benzene rings, along with a high-density molecular chain structure, which hinders charge migration. The stable molecular state requires very high energy for internal electron transitions, resulting in exceptional electrical insulation.

  Inherent Flame Retardancy

  The aromatic ring structures within the material provide remarkable stability at high temperatures, resisting oxidative decomposition. When exposed to heat, the material preferentially carbonizes, forming a protective layer that isolates the underlying material from oxygen and thus achieves a flame-retardant effect.

  Outstanding Chemical Stability

  The material possesses strong intermolecular stability, making it resistant to corrosion and contamination by various chemical reagents, oils, and greases. It demonstrates good resistance to acids and alkalis.

  π-π conjugation between molecular chains results in the interlocking of rigid segments, significantly enhancing the material's physical mechanical properties and toughness.
